PRIVATE LESSONS
The C.V. Starr offers private lessons such as a fitness room orientation, personal training, and private swim lessons. Payments must be made at least three days in advance and may be made over the phone.

Private lessons are subject to our instructor availability.

C. V. Starr Community Center Enrichment Class Refund Policy:

If a lesson is canceled by the Center, the registrant will receive a credit on the account or a refund for the full amount may be requested.

To be eligible for a refund a participant must notify the Center at least 24-hours before the scheduled private lesson.

When a refund is requested to be placed as a credit on the account there is no fee; if a participant requests a refund by credit/debit card or check there is a $10 administrative fee deducted from the refund amount.

Refund requests made after this deadline will not be granted.

Registrations are non-transferable. Share registrations/split attendance is not allowed.
Fitness Orientation
$55 for a 60-minute session*
*C.V. Starr members are eligible for one free fitness orientation per year with our experienced staff.

Private Swim Lessons
Private: $45 for a 30-minute lesson
Semi-Private: $45 for a 30-minute lesson plus $10 per each additional participant per half hour (must be paid as one payment)

C.V. Starr Enrichment Programs
Here you will find relevant information for enrichment classes taking place at the C.V. Starr Community Center. Enrichment classes are based on a first-come, first-serve basis and pre-registration is required for all programs.

The C.V. Starr Community Center has partnered with Every Child a Swimmer as well as Friends of MCRPD to offer scholarships for our swim lessons for UP TO 100% OF THE COST!

Applicants must meet a criteria for scholarship approvals.

Children build on previous skills by learning to jump into deep water, tread water for 30 seconds, and swim both front crawl and elementary backstroke for 15 yards, all independently.
​
Students will also practice skills like changing from a front to a back float, recovering to a vertical position, and practicing a somersault (drop down start) for potential racing.
​
The primary goal is to master these foundational skills independently before progressing to the Learn-to-Swim Leave 3.

Ready to take it to the next step and head into the world of competitive swimming?
For aspiring competitive swimmers, the Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Levels 3 & 4 build foundational skills and introduce stroke improvement, which is a crucial prep for a swim team. These extended hour long lessons will give your child the time to prep for the next steps in their swimming journeys!
