
PRIVATE LESSONS
The C.V. Starr offers private lessons such as a fitness room orientation, personal training, and private swim lessons. Payments must be made at least three days in advance and may be made over the phone.

Private lessons are subject to our instructor availability.

C. V. Starr Community Center Enrichment Class Refund Policy:

If a lesson is canceled by the Center, the registrant will receive a credit on the account or a refund for the full amount may be requested.

To be eligible for a refund a participant must notify the Center at least 24-hours before the scheduled private lesson.

When a refund is requested to be placed as a credit on the account there is no fee; if a participant requests a refund by credit/debit card or check there is a $10 administrative fee deducted from the refund amount.

Refund requests made after this deadline will not be granted.

Registrations are non-transferable. Share registrations/split attendance is not allowed.

Fitness Orientation
$60 for a 60-minute session*
*C.V. Starr members are eligible for one free fitness orientation per year with our experienced staff.

Private Swim Lessons
Private: $50 for a 30-minute lesson
Semi-Private: $50 for a 30-minute lesson plus $12 per each additional participant per half hour (must be paid as one payment)

C.V. Starr Enrichment Programs
Here you will find relevant information for enrichment classes taking place at the C.V. Starr Community Center. Enrichment classes are based on a first-come, first-serve basis and pre-registration is required for all programs.

The C.V. Starr Community Center has partnered with Every Child a Swimmer as well as Friends of MCRPD to offer scholarships for our swim lessons for UP TO 100% OF THE COST!

Applicants must meet a criteria for scholarship approvals.

Evening Group Swim Lessons Tuesdays And Thursdays
April 21st-May 28th
Preschool 1-3 • 5:00-5:30pm •$120 for the session
Level 1+2 • 5:30-6:00pm • $120 for the session
Level 3+4 • 6:00-6:45pm • $180 for the session

Preschool 1-3 : Children ages 3 to 5 learn water safety, survival skills and foundational swimming concepts in a safe and fun environment. Skills are age-appropriate, allowing students to achieve success on a regular basis.
Level 1-4 Our four-level Learn-to-Swim program is unlike anything offered by other learn to swim programs. The program is designed for children over 6 years all the way up to adults, and students progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next. Each level of our Swim Lessons class includes training in basic water safety and helping others in an emergency, in addition to stroke development.
Level 3+4 requires a swim test and passing of Level 1+2
American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR AED Class
Thursday, May 14th • 4-7pm • $150 for the Course • Ages 15 and Up
Pre-Registration is Required.
Must sign up at least 5 days in advance to be eligible to take the the class.
Online Portion of the American Red Cross Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Class must be completed prior to the live instructor portion(about 4-5 hours).

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. Through a combination of self-paced online learning and instructor lead classroom training, you will have a opportunity to practice and demonstrate the competency required for certification. The online portion features simulation learning, an interactive experience where participants respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting.

Participants must have access to internet to complete the online portion of the class. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the classroom session, and must be taken on a Flash-enable computer with a high speed internet connection. Be sure to provide us with an email to receive the link to the online class.​​
